Nelson Mandela once said, "Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is the protection of a fundamental human right-- the right to dignity and a decent life."
The men and women in the workshop here take tremendous pride in the products they manufacture. The Basic Utility Vehicle is the only vehicle manufactured locally (!) and they rightfully beamed when the Minister of Industry dropped by recently with his entourage and, after touring, left deeply impressed with all he had seen. We love that these committed folks are earning a living AND a life-giving dignity.
This month the BUV and the new baby, a hardy wheelbarrow also manufactured in the shop, will be demonstrating their worth at our region's agricultural fair. Picture our crew all smiles as they show off their work :)
Thank you for making a big difference in their lives! We know your heart for the poor is a blessing to God. It certainly is to us!
