Production has begun at the BUV workshop!  As you know, we are closely involved in bringing Basic Utility Vehicles to East Africa, aiming to provide opportunities (where there have been very few) for entrepreneurs to own and operate their own transport businesses with these heavy-duty yet affordable beauties.  But it's not just about getting the vehicles out there.  No, no...  It's much more than that!  In the process, the men in the shop are being trained into skilled laborers as they get hands-on experience with the shop equipment.  We've had another couple of IAT (Institute for Affordable Transportation) guys out from the US and they've been pouring into the shop team.  The first locally manufactured BUV is coming along and the guys are thrilled.  It's such a pleasure for us to see the pride in their work and ownership these men are displaying as they learn and grow.  

Meanwhile, out in the field,  BUV owner/operators continue to provide for their families while performing a good service in their communities.  We feel blessed to help local people find their feet economically.  We know they're feeling the blessings, too!
